Website Woes

For any residents or colleagues randomly wandering on to this page - I mentioned in lecture that I've been having some website woes with my hosting. I'm working on getting this resolved at some point, but considering that I don't have the desire to spend time or energy on fixing it - I recommend bookmarking the Padlet as that seems to stay up - https://padlet.com/psychialove/z7ij387x0m3tboir I also pop into social media at times: https://psychialove.com/social-media-linktree/ (that is obviously also on this domain; the direct link is here: https://linktr.ee/psychialove Unless this can get resolved, I may just cut costs and eliminate this…

New Linktree / Social Media Page

I was already planning on updating my site due to the next round of lectures coming, but some recent, um, unfortunate events on social media have pushed me to update earlier and potentially change how I do things. So - check out my new Linktree to various accounts! https://psychialove.com/social-media-linktree/

Catatonia Teaching Resources

I haven't had time to check out all of the video yet, but this looks like it could be a good resource - https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/psychiatry/divisions/collaborative-care-and-wellness/bush-francis-catatonia-rating-scale.aspx

Happy Ace Week! 2015 Grand Rounds

See disclaimer. Wanted to post this here for history's sake, though it is a product of its specific audience and time. I'm working on an updated version - though by "working" I mean "will hopefully get to at some point!?!?!"

tDCS in the US?

tDCS for depression (or, more exciting for me, other neuropsychiatric indications) has always been one of those things that seems both flaky and potentially promising. It will be interesting to see if data is positive and if/how the device will be used (in clinic like rTMS? At home like CES?) and if it will evolve into actual good practice (like ECT, rTMS, etc.) or more shady / weak evidence (like CES, possible VNS.) Looks like they are doing a study and the FDA is considering clearing it for depression in the US.  https://soterixmedical.com/depression/news/2020/07/fda-grants-soterix-medical-ide-approval-for-home-based/35

Integration With Padlet

Due to some of the, um, "special" state of social media currently, I've been reconsidering actually doing this site. For now, I'm playing around with Padlet (since I've trying to out for teaching) and I may use it as the front page of the site, with this as back-up.I mean, its been almost three years - something is better than nothing?
